BASIC BOOK CARE AND BOOK REPAIR

This one day workshop will provide an opportunity to learn simple, archival repairs
including cleaning, corner repair, touch-up, joint and hinge repair, &c.
The focus will be on case bound, cloth covered books
with time spent covering some issues specific to leather books as well.
$100 for GBW/BCW members, $125 for non-members
plus $10 materials fee
No experience or equipment necessary.
Participants will be provided with reading materials and videos to watch before the class.
The workshop fee includes a one-year membership to Save Your Books ($50 value)
with access to over 30 on-line tutorials on book repair.
SOPHIA S.W. BOGLE has over 25 years of experience restoring books
and a diploma in Book Conservation from the American Academy of Bookbinding.
She provides services in book restoration and repair
as well as on-line tutorials through her business, Save Your Books.
